In Jaisalmer living in another ancient fort. Toured the Jaisalmer fort city today. Found ourselves on a roof top sipping gin and tonics and singing Beatles songs with great gusto. God that was fun and our hearts were light. Then tonite in the court yard of our ancient digs we had a dinner outside entertained by local Indian music and dancing. Guess who thinks she might have been an Indian dancer in a former life?!?! YEEEAAAHH. I got my freak on. The group is really starting to gel. For me I'm discovering a very wild side. I'm not sure I can promise who I will be when I get back. Oh forgot to mention I have about a half bot of vino flowing thru the veins as I type. This was hands down THE BEST DAY so far.
Rhoda I'm still looking for just the right 'thing.' So much to chose from. But you are just over my shoulder as I scope things out :)
Ron, Mt Abu was ok. Sort of like the Coney Island of India. The best part realy was the palace. I think me and my roomie got the best suite--probably one the maharaji himself stayed in. On the bus we were trying to come to a concensus about where a good place would be to meditate and someone yelled "Wendy and Dee's sitting room." Yeah we had a SITTING room. With an Atrium. Holy wow!
Leaving tomorrow for another long busride --5 hours-- back to jodhpur. I'm considering a little stand up. We'll see. Poward (Or Wowie) and I are fast friends...I danced circles around his somersaults tonite tho. Intense, a little dangerous, in a good way. It's funny, when one KNOWS they are safe in this world, it is no longer played safe. And that has been a very good thing. God nite, or probably god morning to you al, love, Wendy
PS Michelley..I think I found a way for you get to India. I was befriended by a lovely Indian woman (a doctor actualy) at the URS celebration who invited me to her home and neighborhod. I left the group at the party for a few hours to hang with her and she has offered to host me anytime in the future. Put that in the back of your mind for perculating..

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your post.
Seems, you enjoyed your Jaisalmer tour in India. I have also heard a lot about this city.
We (Aldena and me) are also planning to book our holiday package and flights to India and will include Jaisalmer in our travel itinerary for sure. One more thing, you should also post travel pix on your blog.
